I am a stage-mom! I won’t even deny it. I can’t help it. I guess, I am more excited than my daughter. It is very obvious. Who would buy her kid 3 gowns for 1 night of Prom?!? Excited may even be an understatement.
The big day has finally arrived and yours truly left work early to ensure that her one and only daughter would get her hair and makeup done. I didn’t take her to the salon as we didn’t have enough time. I couldn’t take a leave. Anyway, I did her hair and makeup and it took me around 2 1/2 hours to get everything done. I did the manicure and pedicure last night so I didn’t have to rush things today.
I am very glad that my daughter is also thrilled (but not as thrilled as I am!) to attend the JS Prom. They didn’t have this kind of school soiree from her previous school so this is one thing I am thankful for in her current school. At least, she now has the chance to experience the wonderful JS Prom, the dancing, the ceremonies and all without the chaperone.
The prom is held at Crowne Plaza Hotel Deira. It started around 4:30 PM for the registration. Hubby and I will pick her up later like Cinderella leaving the ball at the stroke of 12!
Here’s our little charmer who, by the way, is no longer little as she towers me by few inches now.
